Edgar Berlanga on His MSG Knockout, Beef with His Opponent & Jay-Z Meetup

HOT 97 · Aug 5, 2026 · published to YouTube

Brooklyn's own Edgar Berlanga sits down with HOT 97's Mornings With Mero to break down his comeback knockout win at Madison Square Garden — from getting caught with a right hand in round 2, to turning into a "different beast" and finishing the job. He opens up about the beef with his opponent leading into fight night (including getting blocked on Instagram), his move to Zuffa Boxing under Dana White, meeting Jay-Z at Fanatics Fest, and his growing music career with his reggaeton hit "Baby Mama." Representing Brooklyn and Puerto Rico, Berlanga talks about what it meant to headline the Garden during a historic New York summer.
